FDI Enter Steel LLC is the first mechanical engineering factory in Uzbekistan that has received ASME certification

Tashkent, 7 December 2022 Enter Engineering, one of the largest EPC contractors in Central Asia, today announced that its subsidiary Enter Steel has been certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for successfully implementing a quality management system (QMS) and U, S and R (U - pressure vessels, S - power generation boilers, R - vessel repair and modification) stamps.

ASME certification helps companies comply with regulations, achieve process efficiencies, reduce costs and improve product quality and safety. It demonstrates that the vessels and apparatus produced at Enter Steel's machine shop meet the highest standards.

Ulugbek Usmanov, CEO of Enter Engineering, said: "We are proud to announce that Enter Steel Machine Works is the first Uzbek company to receive the prestigious ASME certification. Its presence emphasises our commitment to high standards of performance at every stage of the production cycle and at every facility we manage. This achievement was only possible thanks to a dedicated and highly professional team working tirelessly to meet one of the highest safety and quality standards in the world."

To achieve ASME certification, the Enter Steel plant implemented a sophisticated audit process to meet the requirements:
- Materials and testing equipment were purchased and calibrated.
- An NDT (nondestructive evaluation engineering) laboratory was installed.
- A pressure vessel sample was manufactured and tested. - A quality control manual, quality control procedures, and design and NDT procedures were prepared.
- ASME compliant storage facilities and equipment storage and quarantine areas were equipped.

ASME is one of the oldest and most respected and authoritative mechanical testing quality and safety standards organisations in the USA. It has published more than 600 codes and standards covering a wide range of technical fields.

ASME certification is recognised in more than 100 countries. Governments around the world have adopted ASME certification as a way to demonstrate compliance with legal safety standards. Approximately 7,000 companies currently hold ASME certification.

Joining the ASME family of companies promises to open new avenues for sharing best practices with other member companies, while supporting employee career growth and skill development across all engineering disciplines at Enter Engineering.
